Tourtière VIRTUAL WORKSHOP - Sunday, November 28th

When: Sunday, November 28th from 1pm-2pm 

Stay at home and bake a tourtière (French Canadian meat pie) along with us virtually! This 2-part virtual workshop consists of a basic pie dough make-ahead instructional video and a live bake-along tourtière making session. A few days before class, students will be sent the full recipe with a list of equipment and ingredients they will need as well as a video on how to make the pie dough. Please note that students are responsible for getting their own ingredients. 

A few important things to note:

  • Please have your basic pie dough made and in the fridge prior to class. The pie dough can be made anywhere from 48 hours in advance to 3 hours in advance or it can be frozen and thawed in the fridge.
  • Tourtière freezes really well and this recipe can be easily doubled or tripled! For 2-3 meat pies, you'll need 2 batches of pie dough. 
  • Feel free to use your own pie dough recipe if you’re already comfortable with it or buy pre-made Duchess pie dough. 
  • There is nothing to pick up for this class and the recipe and Zoom link will be emailed prior to the live class. You are responsible for gathering your own ingredients.
  • Family members in the same household are welcome to participate with you or listen in.
